Job Opening for Neuropsychologist at Center for CBT – New Jersey
The Center for Cognitive Behavior Therapy, a growing group psychology private practice in East Brunswick, NJ, is looking to hire a neuropsychologist. We are a passionate group of psychologists and post-doctoral fellows dedicated to providing personalized, research-supported clinical services for children, adolescents, and families with a range of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. We also partner with schools and organizations to provide consultations, professional development workshops, and clinical services. As a young practice, we are excited about cutting edge research and treatment options, as well as utilizing technology to make our work easier. We are creating an organization that prioritizes the health and happiness of our team members, with a fun work environment and great benefits.
The current position consists of providing testing, and, to the extent desired, therapy. Specific testing responsibilities include neuropsychological and psychoeducational testing to children, adolescents, and young adults with a range of presenting concerns; report writing; providing feedback to families; and providing consultation to school-based personnel. Training and experience with the ADOS and/or school-based behavioral observations is preferred, but not necessary. In addition to testing, the candidate is encouraged to provide evidence-based treatment to individuals and/or families. The candidate’s areas of clinical expertise may align with or expand our current ones, which include autism spectrum disorders, feeding disorders, Tourette syndrome, trichotillomania, OCD and anxiety disorders, school refusal, ADHD, trauma, depression, and self-injury.
The ideal candidate for this position is a vibrant and dynamic clinician, eager to help youth and families, and committed to using evidence-based practices. The candidate is excited to work in a collaborative environment as a key member of the team, develop their niche within the practice, and work alongside experienced psychologists who are experts in their respective specialties. The candidate will meet with our practice director regularly to ensure that he/she see the cases he/she is passionate about and has the schedule and volume of cases that works for him/her.
The position includes competitive compensation as a W-2 employee, participation in our 401K program with employer match, malpractice insurance, and flexible hours. We provide a small professional development stipend to encourage our clinicians to stay current with evidence-based practices so we can best help the clients we serve.
Part-time and full-time candidates will be considered. Start date is flexible for the right candidate. Interested candidates should email a CV and a cover letter describing your ideal job, testing/clinical interests, and current/previous relevant experiences. Information should be sent to Dr. Meir Flancbaum at info@CenterForCBT.org with “Job Posting” and your name in the subject. Please feel free to reach out with any questions as well.
