The Center for CBT now has openings for a Licensed Psychologist and a Post Doctoral Fellow
The Center for Cognitive Behavior Therapy, a group psychology private practice in East Brunswick, NJ, is looking to hire a licensed psychologist and post-doctoral fellow. We are a passionate group of psychologists dedicated to providing personalized, research-supported clinical services for children, adolescents, and families with a range of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. We also partner with schools and organizations to provide consultations, professional development workshops, and clinical services. As a young practice, we are excited about cutting edge research and treatment options, as well as utilizing technology to make our work easier. We are creating an organization that prioritizes the health and happiness of our team members, with a fun work environment and great benefits.
The position consists of providing evidence-based treatment with individuals and/or families within the candidate’s areas of specialization. This includes individual treatment as well as collaboration with outside medical professionals and school personnel as needed. We currently have staff with primary expertise in treating anxiety disorders, Tourette syndrome, trichotillomania, disruptive behavior disorders, trauma, and school-based consultation. We also have a comprehensive adolescent DBT Program. We are particularly interested in expanding our services for youth with Asperger’s and/or autism spectrum disorders (e.g., ABA, social skills training), psychological/neuropsychological testing needs, PCIT, and adolescent and adult DBT.
The ideal candidate for this position is a vibrant and dynamic clinician, eager to help children and families, and committed to using evidenced-based treatment techniques. They are excited to work in a collaborative environment as a key member of the team and to receive hands on supervision, consultation, and training from experienced psychologists who are experts in their respective specialties. You will meet with our director regularly to ensure that you see the cases you are passionate about and have the schedule and volume of cases that works for you. We provide a small professional development stipend to encourage our clinicians to stay current with evidence-based practices so we can best help the clients we serve. The position includes competitive salary, participation in our 401K program with employer match, and flexible hours.
