Job Opening for Child and Adolescent Psychologist at Center for CBT – New Jersey

The Center for Cognitive Behavior Therapy, a group private practice based in New Jersey and expanding into New York City, is looking to hire a CBT-oriented licensed psychologist or post doctoral fellow to provide clinical services for children, adolescents, young adults, and families.

We are a passionate group of clinicians dedicated to providing personalized, research-supported clinical services for children, adolescents, and families with a range of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. We also partner with schools and organizations to provide consultations, professional development workshops, and clinical services. We are excited about cutting edge research and treatment options, as well as utilizing technology to make our work easier. We prioritize the health and happiness of our team members with a fun work environment, sound work-life balance, and great benefits.

Responsibilities

Clinical responsibilities include providing CBT and other evidence-based treatments to youth and families, as well as collaborating with medical and school-based professionals, as appropriate. While the area of specialization is open, we have a particular need for doctors with training and expertise in one or more of the following areas: anxiety, ADHD and disruptive behavior, Tourette syndrome and tics, trichotillomania, and autism. Experience in PCIT and working with schools is a plus. There are also opportunities to provide workshops for professionals and members of the community, provide school-based consultations, and write clinically-relevant blog articles published on our website. The clinician will attend weekly “Think Tank” staff meetings to collaborate with colleagues and contribute ideas for program development.

Ideal candidate

The ideal candidate for this position is a vibrant and dynamic clinician; eager to help children, teens, and families; and skilled in using evidence-based treatment techniques. The candidate is excited to work in a collaborative environment as a key member of the team, develop their niche within the practice, provide consultation/supervision to colleagues and trainees, and work alongside experienced psychologists who are experts in their respective specialties.

Benefits

The candidate will meet with our practice director regularly to ensure that they see the cases they are passionate about and has the schedule and volume of cases that works for them. The position can be part time or full time and includes competitive compensation as a W-2 employee, participation in our 401K program with employer match, malpractice insurance, unlimited vacation, flexible hours (plus we typically do a 4 day work week), full admin support, minimal paperwork, and genuine support in helping you maintain a healthy work-life balance. We provide a professional development stipend to encourage our clinicians to stay current with evidence-based practices so we can best help the clients we serve. Option to provide clinical services remotely, from the office, or hybrid.
